In this lesson, we compare sets in which one set is 1 greater. We use counting and matching to compare numbers. We match the counters by drawing a line. We see the row of counters in the five frame that are greater. The set that has a counter with no match is greater. The set that has counters leftover is greater. 1 greater means it has one more. We count objects, write the number, compare the sets, then we circle the greater number. The greater number comes later in counting order.
