Bushcraft canoe trip for 2 days. I didn't know if this old French canvas tent was gonna keep me dry because the fabric was very thin. Not at all as thick and sturdy as the polish lavvu. But after I had it in the rain In my garden for two days I only had a few drops leak through the velcro down at the ventilation flaps. It was nothing that gonna get me wet so without waxing any seams I went out with it in heavy rain and thunder. And not one single drop inside because my previous garden test completely waterproofed the fibre in the cotton so even the velcro kept dry. Just proves that with a bit of patience you wont have to do any additional treatment to canvas. If I would have been anxious and put wax outside the seam of the velcro I would have destroyed the cotton fibre natural waterproofing ability. There are small straps (in a more rough weaving pattern) on the sides you can use to bind up the doors.. unfortunately they work as a cotton wick for a lantern, they transport water inside. But not so much it started a drip. So I'll have to do something about those. So why the old heavier tent then? Its about the feel. Much more pleasant if you care about sounds, smells etc. They are dark and nice and cool to sleep in. Silent and smooth. Dries up in a flash when it stops to rain. Not like polyester tents you have to shake and wipe off if in a hurry. Its like wearing a cotton shirt instead of a synthetical that's awkward and make you sweat.
Ive had some people notice, and being frustrated my last few a bit longer videos was not in 4k. "only" 1080 😁. Thing is with my new camera recording in 4k 10bit just was too much for my Mac in editing. I could not do the slightest color adjustment and different post editing work without it loading for a half a day filling up my hardrive to the max. So now I try a different thing. This is 4k 10bit but I only did some exposure adjustment in post edit. I worked the other way around and tried to get the camera get the best image possible from the lut settings. Not so flat image to work with as the normal professional way of doing high quality video. So did it work? You tell me. Is the image dull? If it not as good I will have to go back to 1080 until I can buy a new Mac that has 32GB RAM and at least 500GB up to 1 TB memory. Thanks for watching folks!!
@MichaelJ19514 years agoBest thing about this video is All Natural sounds with none of the annoying music that totally ruins so many camping, trail riding, bush walking, canoeing etc videos that are posted. THANK YOU I will be following in future for sure ...1

@4wheelsonmywagon7333 years agoYour potato rosti looked a soggy mess..... a tip is to grate potatoes, then placing grated potato in a dry cloth squeeze as hard as a possible the potato so that as much fluid comes out.... you’ll be surprised how much there is. Then assemble into patty and fry - it will crisp up far more readily. Insofar as steak goes .....well what can I say 😝😜😛😋..... wow - easily best you tube t bone of the year so far - looked delicious. Well done 👏👏💪🙏 ...1

@vickilee21854 years agoThe closeup on the food made it seem alive. I know nothing about cameras but I could see the food take on an added flavor, if that makes sense? Taste the photo. I'm guessing the more complicated the photo process and the cleaner the results the more talent and experience is required. I'm getting in over my head so I'll say I enjoyed the video and I appreciate the knowledge shared. Thanks. Blessings ...
