Watch me paint the white-washed buildings on the mountainside of Serifos, a Cycladic island in Greece. I visited Serifos in April this year. All the tavernas along the port were just beginning to awaken after Winter, setting up to open for Greek Orthodox Easter. I missed the last bus up to the town perched on the mountain, so settled in with a bottle of ouzo and this view instead - a happy compromise! This video is in real-time, it's not sped up or edited. You can enjoy this video to learn painting tips and observe how I use oil paint. Or, the peaceful music means you can use this video for body-doubling, to study or work alongside. About me Hi, my name is Harriet and I'm an artist from Australia. I'm originally from a town near Sydney but moved to London in 2015 to pursue a career in architecture and to travel. At the end of 2021 I became a professional artist and have been travelling and painting ever since - a dream come true! I paint the places I visit to share their unique beauty - to spark a memory and rekindle a connection. After all, why do we love art? After a tough few years, we've all grown to appreciate the importance of the space around us and how it makes us feel. Art is integral to that. Paintings bring memories of special places inside, brightening our rooms and encouraging conversation with loved ones. I want to create paintings that bring joy and beauty to your home. Thank you for supporting my art, I hope you find a painting that you love for years to come. Humbly, Harriet My website is www.harrietlawlessartist.com
