@michaelfournier95842 years ago This was very, very helpful. My vacuum hose was brittle and burned in one section with a hole, which was apparently causing the error code 2. So I pulled the hose and vacuum switch out for easy replacement. But after I put everything back together, I kept getting an error code 1. I reviewed your video several more times to see if I put things together correctly, and as it turns out, I accidently connected the wires to the vacuum switch incorrectly. Watching your video showed me the correct tabs to connect to, and it now works fine. Thanks for your detailed video. ... 1

@gerryaddley62008 months ago Great video but why doesn't anyone do videos on the pre 2001 PDV-25's? The manufacturer doesn't even supply manuals for the earlier models either.

@keriblackrock55684 years ago Quick question. Do I need to keep the combustion blower wrapped with what looked like fiberglass insulation and aluminum foil on the combustion blower? 1

@Thomas-wd6cw3 years ago one more thing to check ; i had changed my igniter a year ago , the screw wasnt tightened all the way and over time it became loose . when pellet stove started auger motors were fine , but when it got hot inside fire box , some air must have been escaping from igniter area and top auger would shut down . i had replaced the vacuum switch and top auger ,before i realized it was the igniter that was loose ; i tighten it back securely , stove works... rechecked original vacuum switch it worked , rechecked old motor it worked ...

@charlesreed64042 years ago great videos. An Englander was givin to me and they said it kept shutting off on them. After some good cleaning and removing to top auger and reseating it ran for days very well, Now when I start it will immediently kicks off with E1, I have checked everything I know but still doing this...back to what the previous owner told me it was doing. I checked the two vacuum hoses, I bypassed both vacuum switches with a jumper but still shuts off, I have removed the exhaust motor cleaned inside and jumped the motor to make sure the motor is strong, I made sure where the vacuum tube connects is clear and air is moving freely (sucked into it), to I have removed the augor motors and jumped them to makde they turn freely, door and glass gaskets seem in good shape, at this point Im stumped...this is amn older viseo but hoping you,re still out there for some advice. ...

@lindajohnson80494 years ago My stove has been so well starting off the night. Then about 3-4 hours into the running it begins loading up too many pellets regardless of my settings! Is that an auger problem?

@DBRobins3 years ago I wonder - can I leave the bypass on after changing the vacuum hose? I feel like I’d loss that small bypass in the realm of tools.

@cha-ka86716 months ago Unplug it because, the manufacturer didn't put that control box in an enclosed unit to prevent accidental shock. I know, I have shocked myself multiple times just reaching in there. It's not that bad but, you defiantly feel it. ...

@bryanjferrer4 years ago Your style of video is right to the point and thorough, thanks. Can you talk about the other switch on this stove that I believe is CU not PU. I think mine has failed and is perhaps wired wrong as there is nothing on the common , yet it has been working for years until this past week, top auger not turning and I did jump them so I know auger works ...

@livetoridecando4 years ago I’m running my stove with the jumper. It is a 1993 model with a newer control board. That is the only way to make it work according to Englander.

@milagrossmith48912 years ago What about E2 error code. My stove is giving me both e1 and e2. Auger runs for like a minute then shuts off

@milagrossmith48912 years ago I have the shpcm-49, 49 trcpm model and it seems this one only has one vacuum switch and it is the cuvs. I opened up the rear and search for it to death. I use the flashlight I use the mirror I even use my camera to record the places where I couldn't see and only found one vacuum switch. Please check your stove before buying parts I bought the wrong part for my stove. ...

@thegodexperience81133 years ago For sixty bucks in parts, should a person just simply buy and replace the hose and switch as soon as the E 1 code appears? Thanks for your thoughts on this matter.

@bgnoggin3 years ago I've searched and searched, what exactly happens when you loose power to a pellet stove. Someone needs to make a video. How much smoke actually comes out. I've got a 400 watt inverter ready to go, but I haven't tried it yet. I'm prepared to unplug my stove while it's burning just to see what exactly will happen, but I'm hesitating. ...
