In addition to excellent communication and deductive skills, data analysts must be able to clean data, balance speed and accuracy, and constantly learn new tools and techniques. They must also be comfortable with ambiguity, working with poorly documented databases, and collaborating with others. Finally, data analysts must have a high tolerance for frustration and be able to separate work from their personal lives.
