@carolynturk-hu7je10 months ago A bassinet in your bedroom, so helpful. We had a friend offer hers from her two older daughters. He slept at night in our room for first 6 months(think, he is 28 years old now). Tried to have him nap in his own crib while I was home on (unpaid maternity leave for 8 weeks), helped him get used to it too. We also saved the twin bed my husband had before we got married, used as a daybed in the baby's room, helpful for nursing. ... 8

@teacheraprilrogers10 months ago I just want to congratulate the two of you on being such amazing, smart, incredible people. You are an amazing young couple that is a great example for other young couples. I was 30 when my now ex-husband and I had our son. we we're not as prepared mentally or emotionally or relationship-wise as you two aren't were. My son is now 18 almost 19 and he will be a freshman in college this fall. I have raised him on my own with no help from his father. But it has been worth every minute of it. Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl and keep up the great work. ... 3

We’re expecting our first baby in about 6 weeks, and I’ve been so nervous about all these little practicalities. I love your system of Mal breastfeeding through the night, and Cam taking her in the mornings.
Sounds like you two are doing an amazing job!

I met my husband here & can't believe it when I say I've been married 18 years & have 5 kiddos. My youngest turned 6 a few days ago so it wasn't that long ago that we were still doing the baby thing. I love seeing the newest baby gadgets you guys share. Thank you for sharing your cute family with all of us🥰 ...

@damealeta354110 months ago LOL I guess I'm amazed at all the prep you went though. I was pregnant and we lived in the tiniest 1 bedroom apartment ever. (I was also hideously ill with hyperemisis gravidarum, edema and infected C-section.) The top of my husband's dresser was the changing area and our baby slept in our bed between us. The stroller we got doubled as a 'baby bed' while I took showers until she was about 3 month old. My husband worked full time M-F and we had no place for anyone to stay to help during the first few months when we would have needed it most. My family lived over 100 miles away and his family (i.e. my mother-in-law drove me nuts) so we had no help. Everyone's new baby story is their own and they live it and own it. Mine wasn't the best and I wish it could have been in a lovely home like yours with a husband there to help on the daily. But our kid is in her 30s now and it was the quality of the love and attention we gave her and not the 'stuff' we thought she might have missed out on. Your little goober is so lucky and blessed with her mama and daddy. 💚 ... 1

@paulafowler359710 months ago Communication is the key to making it all work. Our only child is 42. My husband traveled constantly!!! The first 5 years of our marriage we were together only 9 months!! Communication we did that in letters daily. The one thing I had to learn quickly was if my son was asleep I needed to be also. With my husband in another country & I was in a town with no family and knew no one. Communication is the key to success, all these years later, 44 on August 4th, communication is still our key to success!! You guy's got this!! Let your faith guide you!! Blessings to you all!! ...

@ColdHeartedXD10 months ago Ok so thisss Is amazing you guys are being so open and honest about these struggles.
I also EBF and unfortunately my babie did Not take to a bottle or paci. So it was always baby attached to mom. Then I want to mention this as well, for the first month my partner suffered from PPD as a GUY. When I took the questionnaire for PPD I passed but I looked at it again and thought OMG 😱 This is exactly what my partner is dealing with. He felt like baby was his but couldn't connect. It was rough until we figured it out. He started exercising more and going out on walks with me and baby as well as just even going to the grocery store alone away from the baby helped. So It always looks different for everyone but the thing that makes it work is Communication. I would of never known of he wasnt open and honest with me. ❤️
    Good luck guys!😊

@Alia-sn7bz10 months ago Thank you so much for sharing 🥰 You're the first once I heard of taking that kind of shifts, too, and it feels so good! My husband and I took some time to figure out a system and ended up with 8-8-8 with our first baby because he never slept. Hubby's an owl so he did the nights and brought him over for breastfeeding, I did the morning hours while he slept and we had the evenings together 😊 We're expecting baby number two in November and I am so curious to see how that's gonna be! Until then I'll keep following your journey and am grateful to learn from other people and their way of handling things 😊❤ ...

@heavymaiden8510 months ago I wish my husband shared the night care with me especially at weekends I found it so lonely in the first two months with our daughter we ended up taking her to the car was allot easier but you can get those seats now which pop up onto wheels like a stroller 😏mental health checks was my biggest problem I didn’t always open up to my husband & we had some conflicts along the way and pnd crept up on me which I never thought I’d get as I never got depressed before becoming a parent
Your videos help me so much & bring me such joy even now my daughters 22 months have to say I’m so glad i stumbled across you two your so uplifting and give me tips I wish I’d done in the preparation of becoming a parent bless you both x

@minimittzy635310 months ago You’ll are doing an excellent job. It’s hard till you get into the hang of things. I see you’ll carry her as it’s the best way to soother her but remember she is growing and will get heavy
Babies enjoy the close contact but it might be hard on her as she gets heavier and you are not able to carry her all the time.
I am sorry if what I’ve said is upsetting
