Lucifer’s twin brother came down from heaven and took over Lucifer’s life, attempting to pass off as him to Detective Decker and his other colleagues at the LAPD. The mid-season finale kick starts right where the previous episode had ended off. Dan shoots Lucifer and Chloe runs to his side after he's knocked down. In a surprise twist, Lucifer has his invulnerability back and the bullet didn't actually hurt him. Dan is shocked to see that Lucifer is actually the Devil, like Michael had said. Dan is conflicted after hearing Chloe's side of things and reveals that Michael was the one who had told him to go after Lucifer to help save the world. At the beginning of the episode, we saw Lucifer desperately reach out to Amenadiel in an attempt to go back in time and if possible, save Chloe before she even got kidnapped. Unfortunately for Lucifer though, Amenedial's powers haven't returned, not after he exerted himself to save Linda. Lucifer is also not aware that Mazikeen is upset with him and that she doesn't want to talk to him, so he even reaches out to her for help. From here, to Mazikeen switching sides, helping Michael in an attempt to bring Lucifer down -- the episode switches gears too swiftly and leaves us scratching our heads. Now what? This is the question that this part of season 5 will leave viewers with! While the rest of the world is at a standstill, Angels are seen squabbling like spoiled brats so the only one who seems capable of stopping this sibling fight that is being waged on Earth is none other than their father -- Almighty God. Did Michael plan it all to see his father and speak to him? We did hear from Amenadiel that things at Silver City had changed and that Michael was the one who served by his father's side now. So is the appearance of God an extension of Michael's plan? If so, what does he hope to achieve? We would now have to wait and watch the next part of season 5.
