The halfway point in the earthmoving work at the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport has been reached. Federal Minister for Urban Infrastructure Paul Fletcher says 13 million cubic metres of soil has been relocated with the use of 260 earth moving units. Construction of the airport terminal begins later in 2021. The Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport is expected to open by the end of 2026.
