This video shows how to make thinai paruppu adai dosa and a tasty ginger chutney as side dish. Thinai paruppu adai dosa is a healthy menu for breakfast and lunch. Thinai paruppu adai dosa is a protein rich dish. In this healthy breakfast recipe we have used Thinai (millet) instead of rice. Also, this Thinai paruppu adai dosa is recommended in diabetic diet plan. METHOD: Step 1: For overnight soaking: 1 cup of mixed dal as shown in the video. It can be kidney beans, peas, chick pea. For three hours soaking: 1 cup of Thinai, half cup of mixed dal like urad dal, green moong dal and Chana dal. Step 2: Add fennel, red chilly, salt and asafoetida in soaked dal and add required water. Grind it to idly batter consistency. Now itself we can prepare adai using this batter. If you want you can add onion,garlic, curry leaves,coriander leaves and ginger. BEST COMBINATION: For Thinai paruppu adai ginger chutney is the best combination. To prepare this chutney add a spoon of urad dal in oil, saute it then add finely chopped ginger, onion, tomato, red Chilly and tamarind. saute them well. Allow it to cool then add required salt and grind it as nice chutney. For tempering add mustard, urad dal and curry leaves. NOTES: In this video I have shown two varieties of side dish. Ginger chutney is the best combination. If you like you can prepare home made peanut butter as shown. Grind 1 cup of roasted peanuts with 1 spoon jaggery(optional) at speed level 1.
