PRAWNS BALCHAO Prawns                            1 kg Salt.                                  To taste Turmeric powder.           half tspn Onions.                            2 med size Garlic chopped.              1 tblspn Vinegar.                           1 cup Sugar.                               3 tblspn Kashmiri red chillies.    12 each Garlic peeled                  10 cloves Ginger.                             1 inch Turmeric powder            Half tspn Black Pepper corns       20 each Cumin whole                   half tspn Cloves.                             6 each Cinnamon stick              1 inch Oil.                                    to fry

    I prepared it. But looks very thick. Couldn't add more vinegar as it would be too sour. So can i add a little oil. Made nicely hot and then cooled.

Most Prawn Balchao recipes, I've seen, also grind the Onions with the masala resulting in a smooth paste.. you saute the onions separately, which would result in a grainy texture. Is that a normal Prawn Balchao texture - grainy not smooth? ...
