@tomasstitny22757 years ago - now that's iconic shot, perhaps the best one in entire show! BTW it was clever trick to make the Ice Age episode of Walking with Beasts about mammoths not focusing much on cavemen. they're practically just other species inhabiting these lands. Great decision which fits well the ending of the show about "no species livie forever" theme. ... 49

@athull0812 years ago We didn't evolve from Neanderthals, we evolved WITH Neanderthals. Neanderthals and modern humans evolved from the same ape ancestors. Neanderthals are our cousins, rather than our ancestors. 362

@xena50017 years ago Actually, Neanderthals were rather imaginative. They had music (as shown by the fact that they hade flutes out of bone), and made and wore jewelry. Also, I think they buried their dead and left tokens with the dead...perhaps an early way of honoring important members of their tribe for religious reasons? They also had some language. ... 10

@georgebendall74014 years ago The Neanderthal didn't deserve the injury from the Woolly Rhino male when he was just collecting sticks and branches to make a fire to keep warm in the winter 3

@crusader19916 years ago Anyone hear about those 2 scientists that found a perfect Wolly Rhino forzen under the ice, they were left excivating it and though a miscommunication they got stranded at the site. They ended up eating the specimen(it was in such good condition). ... 1

@GILR815 years ago There is nearby a wide steppe, and there dwells, it is told, an animal smaller than a camel, but taller than a bull. Its head is the head of a ram, and its tail is a bulls tail. Its body is that of a mule and its hooves are like those of a bull. ...
  • @
@GILR815 years ago In the middle of its head it has a horn, thick and round, and as the horn goes higher, it narrows (to an end), until it is like a spearhead. Some of these horns grow to three or five ells, depending on the size of the animal. It thrives on the leaves of trees, which are excellent greenery. ... 1

@Alfonsden16 years ago In Scotland Neanderthals have been found roaming the streets of Govan in Glasgow, they gather at a sacred Neanderthal shrine called Ibrox park. They can be spotted by their long arms and knuckles dragging on the pavement.
  • @
@TheSirPrise11 years ago The development and advancement of tools and technology in cro magnon families is largely due to the fact that we evolved in the plains of Africa. This made travel between different groups of homo sapiens much easier making us social creatures meaning we could share items and different technologies that one group had created. Neanderthals on the other hand evolved in the Snowy tundra of a densely forested Europe making communication and interaction difficult so there was no interaction. ... 1
