Gandaki Rainbow Trout Farm is established on 2009 May 1 and is located on the lap of beautiful Machhapuchhre and Annapurna mountains in Sardikhola VDC of Kaski district at the bank of Bhurjung Khola. The farm is situated at an altitude of about 100m from the sea level at a distance of about 12 km from Lamachaur which is at the north of Pokhara.The beautiful trout fish is at the north of Pokhara in fresh and cold water originated from the warm of green hills with the use of modern technologies and with an aim of food security, employment and income generation which supports to establish agro-business industry and trade. Moreover, the trout fishes cultured here are completely chemical free product. Trout fishes are highly nutritious and tasty as well. It is highly rich in fatty acid ‘Omega-3'.
